During my internship with The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas, my main project was to redesign the graphics used at the Ohio State Fair.
My goals were to make sure it was information easily digestible to the average fairgoer and to tell a story about what the division does and why oil and natural gas are important to our everyday lives. I created a total of seven designs for the Ohio State Fair, four infographics, a timeline of the history of oil and gas in Ohio, and two welcome signs.
These are four of the infographics that were designed for the fair.
The two posters above discuss what is oil and what is natural gas, why we need them, why and how we use them, and how it was created.
The other two graphics, one going into detail about wells, drilling, and hydraulic fracturing within the state. The other talked about Ohio's Orphan Well Program and what the program is and the importance of the program.
Below is the timeline discussing the long history of oil and gas drilling in Ohio.
These are the welcome signage created to hang on the doors outside the building.
Below are images taken of all the graphics hung up in the Mill Building at The Natural Resources Park at the Ohio State Fair.
